Description:
Come ride the graceful rolling hills in and around Lebanon, Illinois on Saturday, May 19. Riders choose from 9, 13, 29, 46, or 63 mile routes. The routes are on quiet country roads with very low traffic and a setting of fields and woodlands. A walk/fun run 5K and 10K are also options for participants. The walk goes to the edges of town where the Ridge Prairie Trailhead Initiative has a long-range plan of establishing multi-use trails.
Registration is at the McKendree University MPCC Gym from 7-10 am. Lunch is included with the registration fee and will be served from 11-1. Family friendly games will be available in the area outside the gym.
Cost for the event is $20.00 and includes an event t-shirt, which is guaranteed if registration is received by May 5. Cost for registration after May 5 is $25.00. Cost for children under 12 is $15.00 and includes a guaranteed event t-shirt if registration is received by May 5.

Lau-Nae Winery, Red Bud, IL
Description:
The Belleville Area Bicycling and Eating Society begins its 2012 Winery Rides with a visit to Lau-Nae Winery in Red Bud, Ill.
If road conditions permit, we will have three routes: a 17-mile flat-to-rolling route and hillier routes of 36 and 51 miles. The 51-mile route includes a climb of G Road hill between Prairie du Rocher and Renault with grades exceeding 15% at times.
We will have a staggered start for this event. People who do the 51-mile route will meet at 9 a.m. and take off at 9:15. People who do the 36- and 17-mile routes will meet at 9:45 and take off at 10.
You may bring food to Lau-Nae Winery, but no beverages bought outside the winery are permitted. Lau-Nae also is known for its delicious pizzas!
